Charge Air Conditioner Lines

Charge Air Conditioner Lines

Usually most people have a friend of a friend or a connection with someone somewhere where they can get a central air conditioner at a great deal. This has become quite common and we often lose a sale if someone has a connection somewhere. In all honesty I don’t blame home owners; I would take a better deal if I could get one somewhere else as well. Maybe its not the exact same central air system, maybe it’s a better one but a connection can sometimes bring in a great deal. The thing is central air conditioners can only be installed using specialized equipment. The copper lines running from the AC, through the wall, and into the A coil in your furnace have to be filled with a specialized refrigerant and pumped up to a specified pressure. Ones the correct pressure has been attained within the lines the lines are then brazed closed so they can never leak. So you very well may get a great deal on your central air but you will be on the search for an AC company that will come out and charge air conditioner lines and I can tell you it is not a priority for most companies. If you found us looking for a company to charge your air conditioner in the Southern Ontario area then you have stumbled upon the right place. We do charge air conditioner lines for central air conditioner systems. In fact we have actually hired a dedicated technician for this very job as we receive so many requests. So go ahead and get that central air at a great price through your connection knowing we can come out and charge your air conditioner lines in a timely manner. I wish we could put the price up online but size, brand, and system can change costs enough to potentially mislead clients. Give us a call with your new air conditioners details and we can give you an exact cost within a few minutes over the phone.   Call Us Anytime — (647) 925...

Personal Air Conditioners

Personal Air Conditioners

Here is an interesting product from Vortec; a personal air conditioner. Vortec is a leading innovation company that specializes in compressed air technologies.  They have several firsts in their repertoire of marketed products, the personal air conditioner may be another.  With global warming we are seeming larger fluctuations in weather behaviour, resulting in freezing temperatures in California and extended heat waves in the Toronto area.  These weather extremes will start to become more frequent and sever as time passes.  With a personal air conditioner a worker can easily remain comfortable in extreme heat. The system works by use of a thin vest which is connected to an air source, the vest directs cooling through the torso and back of the neck providing a rapid cooling sensation.  In addition to cooling the system us able to provide heating to individuals who may be in a freezing environment.  This innovative product could prove very useful in the construction industry here in Southern Ontario, our weather fluctuates enough to necessitate the use of both heating and cool for workers. There may be a few limitations to this systems to note. First, you need to have access to compressed air for the system to work, that mean you are on a tether hose at all times.  Secondly, the vest may prove cumbersome and bulky to some works used to the freedom of not wearing one. Starting Your A/C Up Again

Starting Your A/C Up Again

What is the proper way to start your Air Conditioner up after the winter? Well there are a few steps home owners should take to ensure that their A/C runs smoothly and that this summer remains a cool one inside their house. As always most people wait for hot weather to start their air conditioners, and of course that’s when they find out that the compressor has seized or something has broken over the winter.  We recommend that you check your AC around the first or second week of May for homes in southern Ontario (maybe even a little earlier for Toronto home owners).   Most companies will suggest a service call to have it examined but that really isn’t necessary as most of the work is quite simple. Here is a list of tasks to complete before your air conditioner is summer ready. Remove the cover on the outdoor unit and store in a safe place Clear any plant matter or debris in and around the system Set the outdoor switch to “ON” Check to ensure that any A/C breakers are switched ON Ensure humidifier bypass (if you have one) is in the CLOSED position Turn the air conditioner on at your thermostat and let it run for about an hour Check the vents around your home to ensure cool air is flowing Lastly, visually check the compressor unit outside for irregular noises and any type of icing. If your AC passes all the tests above you should be ready for the upcoming hot summer in Ontario this year. REMEMBER If your air conditioner is over 15 years old it is inefficient and probably will need costly repairs sooner rather than later.  Consider replacing it before it wears out and you can avoid a last-minute emergency replacement in a summer heat wave.  This will likely net you a better deal and significantly reduce your energy bills throughout the summer – new units are much more energy efficient. You can also take advantage of Ontario Power Authority’s Heating & Cooling Incentive which gives home owners $650 back when they upgrade their furnace or air...
